I just thought you might be wondering what the deal is with the saxophone mouthpiece clips part of my website. These are in no way studio recordings, they are mostly meant to be of interest to other sax players that are interested in saxophone mouthpieces.
About 7 years ago, I came upon a site on the internet called “Sax on the Web”. At that time, I had been playing the same Sugal Super Gonz I tenor saxophone mouthpiece for about 6 years. When I discovered SOTW, I started reading about all these other saxophone mouthpieces out there. I slowly started buying and selling saxophone mouthpieces to try them out and see if any were better than the Sugal Super Gonz I I hd been playing. Sure enough, 7 years later, I’ve tried a whole lot of sax mouthpieces.
There are many sax players out there with my same curiosity and interest. I thought that by posting sound clips of me playing some of these mouthpieces, some players could get an idea of what the mouthpieces sounded like. I have to say that every person is different, so the type of sound I get on a saxophone mouthpiece might be totally different than what you get.
