Here’s a great video of Chris Potter and Joe Lovano playing together in NYC. The first two clicks are of the jazz standard Four. The last one is of Bye Bye Blackbird. It’s amazing to see these two masters playing together. You can tell they really enjoy each others playing. This is some pretty hardcore jazz playing. Hi Steve, it took me a few days to digest what was going on there. What a treat! Potter has being part of my playlist for a long time, but I think I need to ad more of Lovano now, a lot more…that man was on fire and eager to play. I rarely see someone pouring his heart out like that. Very beautiful. But when Chris Potter got his well oiled machine rolling on Bye Bye Blackbird all I had to say was WOW with a big smile on my face, so many flavors and rhythms. Great post bro, thank you.
