Here is another swingin’ tenor sax solo by Doug Webb. This is over one chorus of “All the Things You Are”. This is actually a transcription that Abel Garcia Mendoza did and performed on Facebook yesterday. Abel was kind enough to share it with me and give permission for me to share it with all of you. I put it into Finale from Abel’s handwritten transcription and made a few minor edits and here it is.
What stuck out to me while listening to the solo was the quote at 8:03 which I think is one of the coolest quotes ever over “All the Things You Are”. See if you can place where it is from. (Of course, now that I have shared this, everyone and their cousin will be using this quote from now on on this tune……)

Right, “Say a little prayer”. Doug is so great and Greg Fishman too of course. I was fortunate enough to take an in person private lesson from each of these fantastic players. They both gave me enough to work on in one lesson to keep me busy for a year.
