Minor Blues Introduction Lesson

In this lesson I introduce you to the minor blues. I talk about a typical minor blues progression in D minor. I teach what the chords are in that progression and how to go about practicing on them. I teach and demonstrate how to really get the progression down and practice using the chord tones to outline the progression. I talk in depth about mixing up the chord tones to create melodic flowing lines as well as adding the 9ths and b9ths to the chords. i also talk about how to use the blues scale with this blues as well as the altered dominant scale. I talk about practicing through all the keys and the best way to do that.There will be future lessons on the minor blues but this one will be good to get you started with it.  (Video & Audio)
