Minor Triad Pairs 3×3 Lesson

In this lesson I talk about using triad pairs on a minor sound.  My favorite triad pairs to use on a minor sound are two minor triads based off the root and the 2nd.  By using these in an assortment of ways you can create interesting and fresh lines that highlight a different type of sound than you might normally play. I’ve included a PDF with this lesson that contains 5 examples of how to use the triad pairs over the key of D minor. I specifically look at how to utilize the triad pairs in patterns of 3 notes per chord. I demonstrate the examples and show you how to practice them on tenor saxophone.  I also talk about tips to vary the lines and practice them so that they become ingrained in your playing.   (Video, Audio & PDF)
