This is special lesson that was done for a member of my site who requested it.   He wanted some simple yet great sounding blues ideas to play over the great song “Cold Duck Time” by Eddie Harris.

In this lesson, I demonstrate how to use the material in Mastering the Blues Scale Vol 1 & 2 over the changes to Cold Duck Time.  I show you how to work out of the books and adjust the blues licks if needed to fit the chords.

I also provide you with a play along track that I made with Band in a Box so you can work on these concepts yourself.

You will need the “Mastering the Blues Scale” books to get the most out of this lesson.  With these two books you will have over 227 blues scale ideas to choose from for the key of D!
