Transcribing is one of the most useful and beneficial things you can do as a musician and student. It is a direct means to learn right from the masters themselves. In this lesson I take you step by step through the transcription process by transcribing a blues solo as you watch. The solo I start to transcribe is on “Blues Up & Down” performed by Harry Allen & Scott Hamilton from the Heavy Juice album.  We transcribe one chorus together and I show you exactly what I do to figure out the notes and rhythms of a solo.  I have included a PDF in C, Eb and Bb of 7 choruses of this killer blues solo so you can check it out yourselves.
