Beginner Jazz Improvisation Lesson 5B-Tenor Sax

Description

This is a beginner improvisation series for tenor saxophone.  In this series of lessons, I will take you from the very beginning and teach you how to improvise.  In this video lesson 5B, I will teach you further about the Bb blues and how to start using everything we have learned so far over it. I show you how to practice using the chord tones over the changes as well as the importance of starting on different notes.  I also show you how to start using the resolutions that we have been working on as you play over this blues.  As we progress through these lessons, you will not only learn all your chords and scales but you will learn how to play them over common jazz standards and chord progression in a musical way.

My goal with these series of lessons is too teach you all the basic chords and scales in every key and get you improvising in a fluent way over some common jazz standards.  I demonstrate all the material on my tenor saxophone. (30 Minute Video Lesson)
