Beginner Alto Sax-Lesson 10

This is the 10th lesson in a series on learning how to play the saxophone from the very beginning. This series of lessons will be focused on learning the fundamentals of playing the saxophone and developing good habits. This series will be primarily out of the Essential Elements 2000 Book 1 for alto saxophone so you will need that book to work out of.   I take you through page 18-19 in the Essential Elements book and talk about the things to be aware of when practicing these pages.  I talk about the use of slurs in music, the D.C. al fine and what it means, the new note of C#, an exercise to start working on your technique, the importance of long tones at different volumes and the importance of proper hand placement.
