Beginner Alto Sax-Lesson 15

Description

This is the 15th lesson in a series on learning how to play the saxophone from the very beginning. This series of lessons will be focused on learning the fundamentals of playing the saxophone and developing good habits. This series will be primarily out of the Essential Elements 2000 Book 1 for alto saxophone so you will need that book to work out of. In this lesson I take you through page 28 of the book as well as introducing you to the concept of a scale and chord. I talk about tips to memorize scales and assign you two scales to memorize, the C and G major scales. I also give you an exercise to start building  faster technique that you can start working on in every practice session. Included in this lesson is a pdf sheet of all your major scales that you will need to memorize. (Video)
