Learning to play in the saxophone altissimo register is one thing.  Learning to do it well is another. We have all heard great solos that soar into that upper range and sound terrific but so often when we try those fingerings ourselves and fall flat on our faces………..

In this 33 minute video lesson, I teach you some great exercises to use to fine tune your altissimo register playing while you gain more control over it. In order to sound great up there you first have to be able to control and manipulate those “high” notes to do your bidding.  I talk in depth about volume control, bending notes by “voicing” them and getting over that dreaded G break.  All the exercises are shown in detail using the tenor saxophone.
