Freddie Gregory Mark IV 7** Tenor Mouthpiece

Here’s a Freddie Gregory Mark IV 7**. Do I miss this mouthpiece.  I sold it  not too long after I bought it because I thought it was too bright. To be honest, there were quite a few gigs I had during that time that were amazing with this piece. I’m sad that I sold it. I haven’t seen a hard rubber Mark IV since then anywhere. I think that is a sign that the people that have them are keeping them.   The Mark IV has a higher baffle than the Mark II. It’s a Bit brighter but not too bright.   I’ve played this on all types of gigs and it holds it’s own. I rank it up there with my Jon Van Wie Link as far as versatility goes.  Nice and bright when I want it but I can still play the standards. listen………..

  1. It’s the only piece Ive never played. Oh well.

  2. Sorry if I’m breaking any rules by posting on an EIGHT year old video, but WOW! I think this is one of the best sounding mouthpieces I’ve ever heard!

  3. Avatar Nick Martin says

It IS the best sounding mouthpiece you’ve ever heard. Extraordinarily balanced and lively.
