Description
In this lesson we add 1/2 step approaches to some of our dominant triad pairs. This is a great lesson if you have been working on triad pairs and want to take your lines to the next level. It adds an element to the line that make them less cliche and more hip without too much effort. This lesson comes with a PDF sheet of the 6 examples to practice in the key of C. I demonstrate them all on my soprano saxophone to a dominant play along. (28 minute video lesson, audio lesson and PDF)
Ron Bull –
This lesson really supports and gives credence to an idea that I have been using for years without really understanding the concept. I was basically attempting something quite similar by ear, but now with concrete exercises to practice and alter with improvisation, I feel that I will be able to really solidify this technique of approaching the triad pairs. Bravo and thanks for this Steve; another “Stellar” lesson.
