{"id":8286,"date":"2013-05-20T12:10:39","date_gmt":"2013-05-20T17:10:39","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/www.neffmusic.com\/blog\/?post_type=product&#038;p=8286"},"modified":"2023-04-27T23:28:31","modified_gmt":"2023-04-28T03:28:31","slug":"altissimo-lesson-alto-sax","status":"publish","type":"product","link":"https:\/\/www.neffmusic.com\/blog\/product\/altissimo-lesson-alto-sax\/","title":{"rendered":"Altissimo Lesson-Alto Sax"},"content":{"rendered":"<p style=\"text-align: left;\">The altissimo register of the saxophone refers to a group of notes that is above and beyond the normal range of the sax.\u00a0 It can be one of the most challenging aspects of the sax to learn.\u00a0 When I was a kid, I would listen to great sax players and they would play these incredibly soulful and emotional lines right up into the stratosphere.\u00a0 I could not believe that someone could play so high on the saxophone.\u00a0 Not only could they play those notes but they made them sound great up there.<\/p>\n<p>Since that time, I have spent countless hours and years practicing the altissimo register.\u00a0 I have quite a few video lessons already on this subject but all of those are on tenor.\u00a0 I have been asked by a few members of my site if I could do a video lesson just for the alto altissimo register.\u00a0 Here it is&#8230;&#8230;&#8230;.<\/p>\n<p>In this lesson I talk about the fingerings I most often use to play the altissimo notes.\u00a0 I include fingerings for all of these notes.
