I have a treat for all of you!\u00a0 A couple of weeks ago,\u00a0 I discovered a new sax player on Facebook who was posting killer transcriptions on Youtube. His name is Dimitrii Sergheev from Moldova.\u00a0 Dimitrii caught my attention because we seem to have the exact same tastes in great tenor sax solos that need to be transcribed.<\/p>\n

Herbie Hancock “The New Standard”<\/strong><\/p>\n

The first solo to check out his Michael Brecker’s amazing solo on Scarborough Fair from Herbie Hancock’s CD “The New Standard” which was released in 1996.\u00a0 This was a huge album for me that I listened to over and over again in the nineties and even now.\u00a0 Here is Dimitrii’s Youtube transcription of the solo so you can hear it and below is the solo.\u00a0 \u00a0Great job Dimitrii and thanks for sharing your great transcription with all of us!!\u00a0 \u00a0 Steve<\/p>\n
