{"id":673,"date":"2009-08-14T21:42:29","date_gmt":"2009-08-15T02:42:29","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/www.neffmusic.com\/blog\/?p=673"},"modified":"2014-01-16T00:41:06","modified_gmt":"2014-01-16T05:41:06","slug":"vandoren-v16-t75-tenor-mouthpiece","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.neffmusic.com\/blog\/2009\/08\/vandoren-v16-t75-tenor-mouthpiece\/","title":{"rendered":"Vandoren V16 T75 Tenor Saxophone Mouthpiece"},"content":{"rendered":"<p style=\"text-align: left;\"><span>This is a tenor mouthpiece I picked up at a music store a year or two ago. \u00a0I use to own one about 8 years ago and it was one of my favorite mouthpieces so when I saw this one I grabbed it. \u00a0Vandoren makes some of the best most consistent pieces out there. \u00a0 This mouthpiece plays a bit like an Otto Link but with more power and focus to the sound. \u00a0I usually find that most mouthpieces \u00a0sound much better when I play into a wall. \u00a0I think it&#8217;s because they have a spread fat sound and it gets diffused in the room. So when you play facing a wall the sound bounces directly back at you.<\/span><\/p>\n<p align=\"center\"><a href=\"https:\/\/public.neffmusic.com\/VandorenT75.JPG\" rel=\"shadowbox\"><img decoding=\"async\" style=\"border: 0pt none; margin-left: 0px; margin-right: 0px;\" alt=\"\" src=\"\/images\/stories\/easygallery\/88888894\/VandorenT75.JPG\" width=\"400\" height=\"280\" border=\"0\" hspace=\"0\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: left;\">When I play them into a wall the bounce back sound is very focused and centered and I love it. \u00a0The thing with these Vandorens is that I don&#8217;t notice that as much. \u00a0The sound I hear when I play into an open room is pretty close to the sound I&#8217;m hearing when I play into a wall. \u00a0I think it&#8217;s due to the squeezed chamber really focusing and centering the sound. \u00a0It can&#8217;t be too much more focused by playing into a wall it already is. \u00a0Also, I notice that these mouthpieces usually sound great in a mic. I remember listening to recording of myself and always being happy with the sound from the V16 metal piece.
