About 7 years ago I had a Peter Ponzol ML .110 tenor saxophone mouthpiece. \u00a0It was my favorite mouthpiece at the time. \u00a0Big fat sound but when I pushed it it had loads of power. There was only one problem…..I could never find good reeds for it. \u00a0It would always fail the suction test and then when a reed would work I would put it down and when I picked it up it would no longer work. \u00a0I sent it to Peter Ponzol who said there was a slight nick in the side rail of the mouthpiece. \u00a0He fixed it and sent it back. \u00a0The funny thing was that after that I didn’t really like it as much! \u00a0 Well, ever since then I’ve had that Ponzol ML mouthpiece on my mind. \u00a0 I saw this one on ebay and snagged it up. \u00a0It plays great. \u00a0Nice lush sound down low and full sweet sound up high. \u00a0I really like these mouthpieces. \u00a0 Mr. Ponzol does a great job with them. \u00a0I’m amazed that he could get a link type sound out of these pieces using the design he does but I think it works. \u00a0I use to own a couple M2 and they were great also.
