This is a Ralph Morgan tenor saxophone mouthpiece that I won off ebay. \u00a0These are the best tenor mouthpieces for the price out there. \u00a0I’ve owned 3 of Mr. Morgans mouthpieces as well as 3 of his clarinet mouthpieces. \u00a0Very consistent work. \u00a0You know when you order a Morgan that you won’t get a dud. \u00a0 This has a more focused tone and is a little brighter than a 9L piece I use to have. the sound of it can be compared to a hard rubber otto link but with more power and focus to it. \u00a0About a year ago I had a Ralph Morgan 8M that you can hear a clip of elsewhere on my blog. The \u00a0first clip is a Jerry Bergonzi tune called “On the Brink”.\u00a0It’s to the changes of Confirmation. \u00a0I heard it on a recording and liked the rhythmic displacement of the melody. \u00a0I think I started it a bit too fast due to the large amount of xmas chocolates I’ve eaten tonight. \u00a0 The second clip is a ballad so you can really hear the tone of the Morgan better. \u00a0 I recorded it the next day after the affects of the chocolate wore off. \u00a0It’s “Spring Can Really Hang You Up the Most”. \u00a0One the ballad I’m playing on a slightly softer reed than the first clip.
