{"id":490,"date":"2009-08-13T17:46:50","date_gmt":"2009-08-13T22:46:50","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/www.neffmusic.com\/blog\/?p=490"},"modified":"2017-01-19T17:42:24","modified_gmt":"2017-01-19T22:42:24","slug":"phil-tone-078-alto-mouthpiece","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.neffmusic.com\/blog\/2009\/08\/phil-tone-078-alto-mouthpiece\/","title":{"rendered":"Phil-Tone Aurora .078 Alto Mouthpiece"},"content":{"rendered":"<p style=\"text-align: left;\">I received my Phil-Tone Aurora alto mouthpiece from Philip Engleman.\u00a0 Phil is known as Sigmund451 on SOTW (that&#8217;s Sax on the Web).\u00a0 I was impressed with the mouthpiece just like I was with his tenor piece.\u00a0 I just slapped a reed on it and it played great.\u00a0 It has some nice volume to it and a great lead alto type sound.\u00a0 One of those pieces with a big full sound with loads of power when pushed.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\"><a href=\"https:\/\/public.neffmusic.com\/Phil-Tone.JPG\" rel=\"shadowbox\"><img decoding=\"async\" style=\"border: 0pt none; margin-left: 0px; margin-right: 0px;\" src=\"\/images\/stories\/easygallery\/88888894\/Phil-Tone.JPG\" alt=\"\" width=\"400\" height=\"280\" border=\"0\" hspace=\"0\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: left;\">It reminds me of a Meyer type piece with more power to it.\u00a0 I&#8217;ve played piece like this before but I always felt like they were too bright.\u00a0 This Phil-tone Aurora mouthpiece isn&#8217;t in my opinion.\u00a0 Check out the recording and let me know what you think.\u00a0 Great job Phil.\u00a0 I&#8217;ll probably be ordering one soon.
