{"id":48741,"date":"2018-01-09T15:55:15","date_gmt":"2018-01-09T20:55:15","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/www.neffmusic.com\/blog\/?p=48741"},"modified":"2018-01-09T16:08:03","modified_gmt":"2018-01-09T21:08:03","slug":"improved-selmer-saxophone-model-chart","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.neffmusic.com\/blog\/2018\/01\/improved-selmer-saxophone-model-chart\/","title":{"rendered":"Improved Selmer Saxophone Model Chart"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Here is a cool chart of the serial numbers and models of Selmer Saxophones through the last 100 years.\u00a0 This chart was researched by Douglas Pipher\u00a0 and shared on SOTW today.\u00a0 The cool aspect of this chart that I have never seen before is that Douglas has included the quantities of each type of sax with each model run.\u00a0 \u00a0I think this is so cool!<\/p>\n<p>There is a serial number chart on the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.conn-selmer.com\/en-us\/about\/support\/serial-numbers\/selmer-paris\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Selmer website<\/a>\u00a0 which breaks the serial numbers down by year but doesn&#8217;t go into detail about the types of saxophones made nor how many.\u00a0 I always wondered how many Selmer Super Balanced Action (SBA) tenor saxophones there were and according to this, there were 9,100 made of which I have one.
