autoplay; encrypted-media; gyroscope; picture-in-picture\" allowfullscreen><\/iframe><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: left;\">It is obvious that Derek Brown is a master of what we call extended techniques for the saxophone. \u00a0When I was a young student at Ithaca College \u00a0studying classical saxophone I heard some of these classical techniques used in more modern classical saxophone pieces. \u00a0I thought they\u00a0were strange sounding and wasn&#8217;t sure what to make of them. \u00a0Derek is taking many of those same techniques and using them for a very different result though. \u00a0I have to give the guy props, \u00a0the amount of time and practice\u00a0he must have used to master these different elements and techniques just boggles my mind. \u00a0Many of these are not techniques that I would use but I thought Derek Brown\u00a0and his individual approach to the saxophone is well worth posting on here that is for sure.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: left;\">Derek has been kind enough to post a multitude of tutorials on Youtube teaching these different techniques. \u00a0I counted 30 tutorials so far of which I posted 10 below. \u00a0 If you dig his playing above and what he can do on the sax be sure to check out\u00a0the tutorials below as well as the many other videos he has on his Youtube channel. \u00a0Well done Derek Brown! \u00a0The Beatbox Sax Master!!<\/p>\n<p><strong>Tutorials<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><iframe width=\"560\" height=\"315\" src=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/embed\/-s3WfGenafo\" frameborder=\"0\" allow=\"accelerometer;
