{"id":1431,"date":"2010-07-12T12:16:18","date_gmt":"2010-07-12T17:16:18","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/www.neffmusic.com\/blog\/?p=1431"},"modified":"2014-01-16T10:55:18","modified_gmt":"2014-01-16T15:55:18","slug":"warburton-soprano-saxophone-mouthpiece-by-eric-falcon","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.neffmusic.com\/blog\/2010\/07\/warburton-soprano-saxophone-mouthpiece-by-eric-falcon\/","title":{"rendered":"Warburton Soprano Saxophone Mouthpiece by Eric Falcon"},"content":{"rendered":"<p style=\"text-align: left;\">This is a Warburton soprano saxophone mouthpiece made by Eric Falcon.\u00a0 This is one of the best soprano mouthpieces I have had the pleasure of playing.\u00a0\u00a0 It plays effortlessly and has a big fat soprano sound to it.\u00a0 The first day I played on it, I actually recorded a few lessons with it because I felt so comfortable on it.\u00a0 It has a .065 tip opening which is right around where I prefer.\u00a0 I use to use play mostly around a .070 but I noticed my embouchure would get tired after awhile.\u00a0 With the .065 I don&#8217;t have that problem.\u00a0 &#8230;&#8230;&#8230;&#8230;&#8230;&#8230;<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\"><a href=\"https:\/\/public.neffmusic.com\/WarburtonSopranoTop.jpg\" rel=\"shadowbox\"><img decoding=\"async\" style=\"border: 0pt none; margin-left: 0px; margin-right: 0px;\" alt=\"\" src=\"\/images\/stories\/easygallery\/88888894\/WarburtonSopranoTop.jpg\" width=\"400\" height=\"280\" border=\"0\" hspace=\"0\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\"><a href=\"https:\/\/public.neffmusic.com\/WarburtonSopranoBaffle.jpg\" rel=\"shadowbox\"><img decoding=\"async\" style=\"border: 0px initial initial;\" alt=\"\" src=\"\/images\/stories\/easygallery\/88888894\/WarburtonSopranoBaffle.jpg\" width=\"400\" height=\"280\" border=\"0\" hspace=\"0\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\"><a href=\"https:\/\/public.neffmusic.com\/WarburtonSopranoFront.jpg\" rel=\"shadowbox\"><img decoding=\"async\" style=\"border: 0pt none; margin-left: 0px; margin-right: 0px;\" alt=\"\" src=\"\/images\/stories\/easygallery\/88888894\/WarburtonSopranoFront.jpg\" width=\"400\" height=\"280\" border=\"0\" hspace=\"0\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\"><strong>Warburton Soprano Mouthpiece<br \/>\n<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><!--more--><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><strong>Appearance:<\/strong><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p style=\"text-align: left;\">The tip and rails of this mouthpiece are perfect.\u00a0 The tip curve is slightly different than the shape of the Vandoren Java reeds I use but it makes no difference in the way it plays.\u00a0 The baffle looks to be slightly lower than my Selmer Super Session and the chamber slightly larger. It&#8217;s a little smaller than my other soprano mouthpiece on the outside and my Vandoren Optimum ligature wouldn&#8217;t fit on it.\u00a0 I had to use a LAW ligature that I had in my ligature box.<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><strong>Tone:<\/strong><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p style=\"text-align: left;\">It seems to have a fatter bigger sound to me than the other soprano mouthpiece I have tried.\u00a0 I think the bigger chamber allows this to happen. It is in no way a large chambered mouthpiece but it is slightly larger than\u00a0 others I have played.<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><strong>Intonation:<\/strong><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p style=\"text-align: left;\">Nothing stuck out intonation wise.\u00a0 It was good and within the normal spectrum for this Yamaha soprano.<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><strong>Control:<\/strong><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p style=\"text-align: left;\">This was a very easy mouthpiece to play and control.\u00a0 It is very even sounding up and down the horn.<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><strong>Volume:<\/strong><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p style=\"text-align: left;\">Volume was great on this mouthpiece also.\u00a0 It played soft to very loud easily.
