West Coast Blues Bebop Scale Lesson (Video & Audio)

Price: $10.00

This is a great lesson for those of you who feel you have your dominant bebop scales down.  This is an exercise that I give to my students after they have most of these scales down and are doing well with the dominant bebop material.  I have them work on "West Coast Blues" by Wes Montgomery.  Their assignment is to be able to improvise on the tune just using their bebop scales.  they need to be able to start on any of the starting notes and play through the whole tune.  This tune covers 7 of the 12 bebop scales so it is a great workout.  The other side benefit is that the song is in 3 so if you are not use to playing in 3 then this will be very good for you to work on. I demonstrate everything in this lesson on the alto saxophone.(Audio & Video)
