I have a couple of the Bonade ligatures and it is similar in design. I do like it better than the Bonade though. It seems like the sound is just a bit bigger or something but also more centered and focused. I'm thinking about getting an alto ligature to try also.

Sounding great as usual :) Is the Marc Jean ligature really great? Looks like a Bonade clone to me. How does it compare to the Optimum?

I used Vandoren Java reeds 2 1/2 I believe, I have a new ligature that is really great. It's by Marc Jean in Canada, I've been using it on my hard rubber pieces for the last week and really like it!

Hey Steve, i just bought a morgan 8L a few weeks ago and I was wondering what type of reed you used on this piece and if this type worked. also, what type of ligature would you recommend? my standard 2 screw lig is too big for this piece. I was thinking about trying a rovner or something. thanks, you sound great on this piece!
